Tater Tot Less Meat Casserole with Green Beans

A casserole that’s like a cheeseburger and fries in one!

The Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp, Salt and Pepper
  • 1/2 medium white onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 bag (340.00 grams), Frozen Green Beans
  • 1 can 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 cup 2% Reduced Fat Shredded Mild Cheddar
  • (optional) Half a jar of Kosher Dill Pickles Slices
  • 1 Can Organic Lentils 15 Oz, drained
  • 3/4 lb, 93 Percent Ground Beef
  • Half a 30 oz bag of ore ida tater tots
  • Pan spray
  1. Preheat your oven to 375.
  2. Mince your onion and set aside.
  3. Spray a large pot with pan spray, then brown your ground beef, breaking apart as you go.
  4. When the meat is brown, add the onion and saute for an additional 5 minutes. 
  5. Mince your garlic and add that as well, cook for another minute. 
  6. Add your drained lentils to the pot and mix well. 
  7. Add  the worcestershire sauce and the salt & pepper to taste.
  8. Microwave your frozen green beans as per the bag’s instructions.
  9. Now it’s time to layer your casserole. Pour the meat mixture into the bottom of a 9X13 casserole dish. Layer your kosher dill pickle spears, if using. Top that with the cream of mushroom soup, followed by the cooked green beans.
  10. Sprinkle the reduced fat cheddar cheese over the green beans, then layer with your tater tots.
  11. Bake the casserole for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
