For those willing to go the extra mile to make the simple syrup, this is a delicious, herby alternative to your average fruit smoothie

I make all my smoothies using garden of life whey protein powder (120kcal, 0 fat, 6g carbs, 24g protein). I would not recommend substituting plant based protein because it changes the consistency and the flavor. If you do still want to use plant based, it will not be as thick and potentially not as sweet, so I would recommend adding more banana to counterbalance. I also use iced green tea for my morning smoothies, but you can change out with water or milk if desired.

Ingredients

  • ½ a frozen banana
  • 1/2 a frozen pear
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt Nonfat Plain
  • 1 scoops Grass Fed Whey, Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Almond butter
  • 1.5 tsp rosemary simple syrup
  • 4oz of liquid (green tea, water, milk, etc)
  1. Combine everything in your blender and blend until well mixed.
  2. Enjoy!
