Baked Home Made Gnocchi in Bolognese Sauce

My Home-made Gnocchi combined with Less-Meat Bolognese for a decadent and delicious Italian dish, baked with a topping of gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a recipe of Less Meat Bolognese (link below)
  • 1 full recipe Gnocchi (link below)
  • 1 cup mozzarella shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan shredded
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Make your Less-Meat Bolognese sauce.
  3. Make your Home-made Gnocchi.
  4. Grate and mix your chesses.
  5. in a 9X13 baking dish, spread half of your Bolognese sauce in the dish and spread evenly.
  6. Start the salted boiling water for your gnocchi in a large pot. Once it is boiling, add some of your gnocchi and wait for them to cook. You’ll know they are ready when they float to the top. Scoop them out with a slotted spoon and drop them into the sauce, trying to keep too much water from getting into the sauce. Repeat in batches until all of your gnocchi is cooked.
  7. Once all of your gnocchi are in the dish, cover with the rest of your sauce. Do a light mixing to ensure all the gnocchi are covered in the sauce, then top with the cheese.
  8. Bake on 400 for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. I like to end this step with a quick and carefully watched broil.
